Jamaican reggae singer Lila Iké had a sharp response for a podcaster who appeared unimpressed by her latest Caribbean Music Awards victory.
A post shared by World Music Views Global celebrated Iké’s song “Romantic,” featuring Masicka, as the Reggae Collaboration of the Year winner at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards. The post also highlighted Iké’s Female Reggae Artist of the Year win and noted that Masicka’s collaboration with RVSSIAN, “Rich Sex,” took Dancehall Video of the Year.
But amid the congratulations, an Instagram account for DI Lounge Podcast, using the handle @kyng_javii_ent, entered the comments with a dismissive reaction.
“And I never heard it before,” the account commented.
Iké, however, wasn’t about to let the remark slide.
Responding directly from her verified Instagram account, the reggae star fired back: “just like I never heard of your ‘number 1 in the world’ podcast before 😇 we both learn something new today.”
Lila Iké’s Caribbean Music Award recognitions come after her debut album Treasure Self Love was nominated for Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammy Awards. She has collaborated with artist such as Davido, HER and more.
