Dancehall princess Shenseea completed the fourth launch for her debut album Alpha in Kingston, Jamaica at Romeich Entertainment HQ, the place where she started her career. Several guests passed through the event including producer London on The Track who flew into the island for the event and gifted her a diamond chain in the middle of her performance.
The two were spotted holding hands after the recent SuperBowl games in Los Angeles in the background of her manager Wassim Sal Slaiby’s video.
They were also seen candle shopping in August 2021. London produced Can’t Anymore on Shenseea’s album. The two were also seen cozied up later at the album launch.
The recent sightings and chain gifting at the album launch has resurfaced rumors of the two being an item, but those speculations weren’t enough to upstage the night’s main events produced by Romeich Entertainment.
Soon after The Dolly singer invited her co-manager Romeich Major to give him his flowers for helping her to reach this far in her career. “Romeich believed in me, saw something in me and tell everybody say me talented and me aguh make it big.” She said. People here can literally attest to that that he has been promoting me from before me even drop one song”, she said to an applause from the packed venue.
“Me love you love you love you, I don’t know what i would do without you thank you so much for investing in my career and trust me, me have a gift for you too”, She continued to an even louder applause.
That celebrity guest performances continued with King Of The Dancehall Beenie Man who assisted her in performing the fan favorite Henkel Glue and Sean Paul who performed Lying If I Call It Love. Tarrus Riley shared the stage with her to sing their number hit Lighter.
Singer Denyque and dancehall DJ’s Aidonia and Ding Dong also graced the stage with more entertainment.
Missing from the Jamaican leg of the album launch was any sign of Shenseea’s new co-manager Wassim Sal Slaiby or A&R Team member Donny ‘Dizzy Clean Face’ Flores. Sending signals that the Jamaica is not on the marketing agenda for the record label or management team although much of her core fans base reside on the island.
The event was sponsored by Caribbean brands Carib Beer and D’Music.
Meanwhile Shenseea told NME that she is looking forward to a future of more success on the charts and a trophy from the upcoming Grammy awards.
“I want to be running the charts and I’m hoping to win a Grammy for ‘DONDA’, then to be in movies, and selling merch. I’m excited to see what’s next – I can’t see the future but I’m just putting in the work, just going with the flow, just going with God.” She said.
Shenseea is nominated for Album Of The Year for her contribution to Kanye West’s Donda album after the Grammys change the rules allowing everyone who contributed to be eligible for a nomination and a trophy is the album is the winner.
