It appears that the romance between rappers YG and Saweetie hit a rough patch over the weekend, as the rapper couple had a run-in with law enforcement after a heated argument at their Los Angeles-area home on Saturday afternoon.
TMZ reported that the argument became so intense that it prompted a concerned neighbor to call the police. When deputies arrived at the scene, they immediately separated YG and Saweetie to diffuse the situation.
The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over a cell phone. After speaking with both YG and Saweetie, officers determined that no physical altercation had occurred, labeling the incident as a loud argument. While the situation was tense, both individuals were unharmed, and the police ensured they calmed down before leaving the premises.
Although a noncriminal report was filed to document the incident, no charges were pressed, and no crimes were committed.
This isn’t the first time YG and the Closer singer’s relationship has faced public scrutiny. The couple, who were first romantically linked in April 2023 after being spotted together at Coachella, confirmed their relationship the following month during a PDA-filled trip to Mexico. Despite rumors of a split earlier this year, the duo appeared to be back on track by April, with Saweetie affectionately referring to YG as “my pisces.”
Both YG and Saweetie’s representatives have yet to comment on the situation.
