(November 15, 2025) — Major Lazer has officially announced that their new mixtape, GYALGEBRA, will be released on November 21, marking the group’s first full body of new work since 2020’s Music Is the Weapon.

GYALGEBRA introduces America Foster as Major Lazer’s first-ever in-house vocalist. Foster—featured on five tracks including the lead single “BRUK DOWN” with Parris Goebel and SadBoi—serves as the creative centerpiece of this new chapter for the group.

That track released October 23 has surpassed 1.2 million views on YouTube.

The title of the nine-track set  “Gyalgebra” is a play on words combining: “Gyal” — Caribbean/West Indian slang for girl (common in dancehall culture), and “Algebra” — the branch of mathematics.

Collaborators include Dominican firebrand Tokischa, Miami cult legend DJ Chipman of “Peanut Butter Jelly Time,” Toronto rising star SadBoi, New Zealand choreographer and artist Parris Goebel, and Jamaican dancehall stalwart Busy Signal. The Caribbean representation continues with Trinidad & Tobago icon Bunji Garlin and Lady Lava, while Amsterdam-based producer Kybba joins Busy Signal on the track “GANGSTA.”

Foster, a British-Jamaican artist, model and content creator, was working as a London security guard when she sent Diplo a series of freestyle clips via Instagram. After meeting him at a U.K. show, she was invited to Jamaica, where the early sessions for “BRUK DOWN” took shape. Her viral freestyles on Capital XTRA and Apple Music Radio quickly won over fans, culminating in her Capital XTRA freestyle becoming an official remix of “GANGSTA.”

With Major Lazer, Foster has already hit stages across Europe, and 2026 will see her on some of the world’s biggest platforms. Upcoming live dates include Dec 11 at Riyadh’s Soundstorm Festival, Mar 27, 2026 in Miami, at Ultra Music Festival, Apr 12 and 19 Indio, CA, Coachella.

They are the only dancehall set on this year’s Coachella lineup.

Founded as an outlet for Diplo’s Caribbean-inspired experimentation, Major Lazer has gone on to become one of global music’s most dominant forces, responsible for chart-topping hits like the Diamond-certified “Lean On,” “Cold Water,” and “Light It Up” with Nyla and Fuse ODG. Their collaborations span Beyoncé, J Balvin, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, WizKid, Burna Boy and many more. The group marked the fifteenth anniversary of their debut album Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do in 2024.
