Mark Zuckerberg Announces New WhatsApp Feature

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to his Facebook page on Tuesday to announce new updates to the popular WhatsApp messaging platform.

He posted, “We’re adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. WhatsApp entered the music space recently when they teamed up with Becky G for the Latin Mentorship Dinner: ‘Everyone Can Coexist’ .

In March, some most influential females in the Latin music scene gathered for an industry mentorship dinner, with special guest Becky G, to highlight the importance of cultural connectivity, courtesy of Billboard and WhatsApp.

The event gathered various industry professionals including executives, musicians, producers, songwriters and composers for a pre-dinner cocktail hour, on-site photos, a private video content capture and, a special meal of cultural significance.
