MIAMI — Two of Jamaica’s most recognizable voices, Carlene Davis and Minister Marion Hall, will headline a newly announced gospel concert aboard the Love and Harmony Cruise in 2026, marking a spiritual turn for a voyage best known for its festive embrace of Caribbean music and culture.
The cruise, scheduled for April 1–6, 2026, coincides with Easter Weekend and is set to sail from Miami with stops in Nassau, Bahamas, and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Organizers said the addition of a gospel segment — featuring the two performers who began in reggae and dancehall before devoting their careers to faith-based music — would add a “soul-stirring” complement to the ship’s usual lineup of late-night parties, comedy shows and domino tournaments.
For Ms. Davis, whose ballads and inspirational tracks made her a household name, and Ms. Hall, who achieved international stardom as “Lady Saw” before renouncing dancehall and becoming a gospel minister, the concert represents a moment of convergence between their past celebrity and their present ministry.
Now in its eighth year, the Love and Harmony Cruise has become a fixture for fans of Caribbean entertainment, drawing thousands of “Harmonizers” who treat the six-day, five-night journey as both vacation and cultural celebration. The full 2026 lineup will be announced in the coming weeks, but cabins are already selling quickly, organizers said.
Few careers in dancehall were as groundbreaking as that of Marion Hall. As “Lady Saw,” she won a Grammy Award in 2004 for her collaboration on Underneath It All with No Doubt. Known for her fearless lyrics and commanding stage presence, she reigned as the “Queen of Dancehall” for two decades. In 2015, Hall announced she was leaving secular music to dedicate her life to Christ, transforming her career into gospel ministry. As Minister Marion Hall, she now delivers messages of faith through song and preaching, while her legacy as a pioneer of women in dancehall remains firmly intact.
