Mojo Morgan, a founding member of the Grammy-winning group Morgan Heritage, has released his new EP Jamaica Love, which has entered the top five on the US Reggae iTunes chart. The project marks an important step in his solo journey, showing both continuity with his family’s legacy and his own creative direction.
The nine-track EP presents his “Rasta Rock” sound, a blend of reggae, rock, hip-hop, country, soul, and pop. The project brings together multiple collaborators including Popcaan, Chronic Law, Pablo YG, Gramps Morgan, Esh Morgan, Jemere Morgan, Kelib Morgan, Maino, Jamal, Sizzla, King Koahi, and Opium Black.
The tracklist includes “When The Father Calls,” “Make It,” “Jamaica Love,” “Mountain Song,” “By My Side,” “Dreams,” “In The Morning,” “Man of Action,” and the family remix of “Make It.” Each collaboration adds different textures to the overall sound, highlighting the connections between reggae, hip-hop, and contemporary global music.
In recent weeks, Morgan has appeared on BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio London, as well as performed at Reggae Land Festival at the MK National Bowl in the UK. These performances, along with a multi-platform campaign, have helped the EP reach audiences in both Europe and North America.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Morgan began his career as part of Morgan Heritage, a group known for reintroducing roots reggae to global audiences. His solo work continues to balance tradition with new ideas, aiming to connect heritage with wider cultural influences. With Jamaica Love, Morgan focuses on themes of resilience, love, and cultural identity while expanding his presence as both an artist and entrepreneur.
