8 Billion Streams For Bob Marley & They Wailers’ Compilations On Spotify

Legend:The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers is set to extend its record lead at No. 1 on the Billboard reggae albums chart next week. The album first released in 1984 has seamlessly adopted to every form of music distribution platform and stands above all in the reggae genre. Between the original and the Deluxe versions, they have amassed more than 8 billion streams on Spotify, making it Marley’s top set on the Platform. The legendary reggae group also has several other albums that are clocking high streaming numbers.

“GOLD”

Including the double disc compilation album “Gold” which re-entered the Billboard Reggae albums chart at No. 10 in February. It was released in 2005 and spawns 17 tracks on each disc with songs from Marley’s first album “Catch A Fire” right up to his last recording “Uprising”.

That album is certified Gold in Canada for selling more than 40,000 units in that country but on Spotify is has surpassed 4.4 billion streams.

Whenever a song is played from these collections even if played from the original album, it goes towards to compilation’s overall streaming tally according to Adam Gross President Of Ineffable Records.
