The video for Mura Masa’s TikTok viral song is finally here featuring Pa Salieu and Skillibeng.
The odd combo took on a life of its own in Jamaica and elsewhere when Skillibeng’s verse became a favorite with women on TikTok. Blessing Me the song, has 172,000 videos made on TikTok.
It is a single from Mura’s upcoming studio album ‘Demon Time”, scheduled for September 16 via Polydor records. The album will also feature the previous Mura Masa singles “2gether” and “bbycakes,” which featured Pinkpantheress, Lil Uzi Vert, and Shygirl.
Who is Mura Masa?
Mura Masa, is a Guernsey-born electronic music producer, songwriter best known for his previous hit “Lovesick“, which reached number one on the Spotify Viral charts in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Crossan’s self-titled debut album was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, making him the first artist to be nominated as both a musician and creative director for the same album. His remix of Haim’s “Walking Away” won Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the new album in a statement, Mura Masa says it was created to simply offer “vicarious, escapist music .” It is the “soundtrack to the 1am to 5am period where you start doing stupid shit that you don’t regret but wouldn’t do again when it emerges again post-lockdown?” Guests on the album include Lil Yachty, Erika De Casier, Unknown T, and BAYLI.
