South African rapper Nadia Nakai sends heartfelt message amidst the loss of her boyfriend AKA who was assassinated recently in the African country.

Nadia who is part of the cast of the Netflix series “Young Famous & Africa” posted on 3 million follower strong instagram videos of her and AKA playing around in good times along with the caption:
My Heart is shattered, this is not what our future was meant to look like. I can’t believe I said my final goodbye to you yesterday. I’ll never see you again for the rest of my lifetime? You loved me loud and proud, thank you baby. Protected me, Prayed for me, inspired me. I find it hard to breath let alone find the words to explain how much I love you. I’m really going to miss all the special moments we’ve had. This really hurts! I can’t come to terms with the fact that I’ll never hear you say you love me, I’ll never hear your laugh. We had plans.

There is no pain bigger than the pain of losing you. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with you, I realise you’re the one who spent the rest of your life with me. I don’t know why things happen the way they do, but I’m questioning God right now. Why would he bring us together to only take you away. I just don’t understand. I don’t know how I’m going to do this, going on with my life without you, I just can’t.
The BBC reports that AKA was shot in cold blood from behind at close range in the side of the head on February 10, 2023, a few weeks after his 35th birthday.
A second gunman is said to have started firing to deter onlookers from responding to the “hit”, he added.

AKA’s friend, celebrity chef Tibz Motsoane was also hit and died.
Tributes poured out over the rapper’s death from Swiss Beats, Burna Boy and Diplo among others.
The shooting is said to have occurred outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban on Friday night.

Throughout his decade long career he released three solo albums, on e compilation and 2 Eps and he was planning to release a new studio album titled “Mass Country” later this year.
The promising star whose life was cut short has won several BET Awards, MTV awards as well many major awards across the African continent.
