Official Jamaica YouTube Songs Chart: Vybz Kartel’s ‘The Comet’ Spends 2nd Week At No. 1

Vybz Kartel’s “The Comet” has spent 14 consecutive days at No. 1 on YouTube Trending in Jamaica, marking its second straight week at the top of the Official Jamaica YouTube Weekly Chart ending September 26.

The WMV Official Jamaica YouTube Songs Chart established in April 2018 is compiled weekly, tracking local YouTube streams in Jamaica from Friday to Thursday. It includes all official audio and video releases.

The Comet earned 338,303 streams in Jamaica, with a significant drop of 483,084 local streams, however, globally it surpasses 4.7 million streams as of September 28, 2024.

Kraff Gad’s “IKATION” rose two spots to No. 2 with 263,342 streams, marking a weekly increase of 37,864. Shenseea’s “Dating Szn” debuts at No. 3 with 237,835 streams. The song has surpassed 2 million streams globally. Cash Code’s “Rey Rico” dropped to No. 4 with 210,829 streams, while Jamal’s “Ballandor” fell to No. 5 with 197,417 streams, seeing the biggest drop of 89,771. Squash has two tracks in the top 10: “Shubout” at No. 6 with 194,699 streams and “Like This” debuting at No. 7 with 171,708 streams. Kraff Gad’s “White Rum” held steady at No. 8 with 168,699 streams, and Kranium’s “Higher Life” with Chronic Laws slips to No. 9 with 164,272 streams. Chronic Law enters with The Therapist at No. 10 featuring AI Milly with 159,000 local streams.

Meanwhile, all 9 tracks from Skippa’s debut album 4Granny dominates the Jamaica Apple Music Top Songs chart, date September 28. The tracks “Gts,” “Wandaful,” and “Intro” secure the top three positions, followed by “Church,” a collaboration with Chronic Law and Jiggy D, at No. 4. Other notable entries include “Content,” “4Granny,” “Young,” “Tomorrow,” and “Rumours.” Kraff Gad’s “IKATION” is the only non-Skippa track on the list, sitting at No. 9. “Hugo” ranks No. 22 on Apple Music Jamaica, “Church” sits at No. 4 and No. 75 in Antigua and Barbuda.

“4Granny” also leads the Daily Jamaica Apple Music Top Albums chart date September 28. 4Granny holds No. 2 in both Antigua and Barbuda and Turks and Caicos, No. 3 in the Cayman Islands and Grenada, and No. 4 in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Additionally, it ranks No. 21 in Barbados, No. 49 in Belize, and No. 52 in Guyana.

Back On Apple Music Daily Chart Future’s “Mixtape Pluto” holding the No. 2 spot. Stalk Ashley’s “Stalky the Bratt” and Masicka’s “Generation of Kings” follow at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Both of this albums peaked at No. 1. Mortimer’s “From Within” ranks fifth, while Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” and Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” take the sixth and seventh spots. Masicka’s “438” climbs to No. 8, followed by Fridayy’s self-titled album at No. 9, and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “P4” re-enters the top ten at No. 10.
