Queen Of The Pack dancehall hitmaker Patra is expressing sadness at the passing of Rock and Roll Queen  Tina Turner

The Romantic Call Jamaican MC posted her tribute on Instagram late Wednesday as she reflected on the music icon’s inspiration in her early life.

“Today is a sad day. When i was a little girl, the only female artist at the time i listend to was this beautiful woman right here. She taught me how to be confident, sexy, without showing too much. Pure talent! #Icon #tina thank you! #RIP,” she posted.

Tina Turner’s death at age 83 was confirmed on Wednesday after her social media posted, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and boundless passion for life, she enchanted fans worldwide and inspired future stars. We say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us her greatest work; her music. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”

Her greatest hits compilation album “All The Best: The Hits” quickly climbed to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart (all genres) and her 1991 compilation album “Simply The Best” is at No. 2. Her 1984 Billboard Hot 200 song “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” which also won the Grammy for record of the year is the number 1 song on the U.S. iTunes chart for the first time.

The “Simple The Best” singer born November 26, 1939 became one of the most popular artist in the world after entering the music industry as part of Ike Turner’s King Of Rhythms in 1957. releasing numerous global hits. She sold her catalogue and all of her musical rights to BMG in 2021.

The company described the deal as “the single largest artist acquisition the company has ever executed.” Per RollingStone Magazine.
