Kingston, Jamaica — Freddy Browne, CEO of JHOUSE Entertainment, and internationally acclaimed dancehall artiste Patra—globally revered as the “Queen of the Pack”—have announced a new distribution partnership that will see the artiste’s +Plus Entertainment Inc. distributed globally through JHOUSE Entertainment, The Orchard and Sony Music.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in Patra’s career, positioning her upcoming releases for expanded global reach through one of the music industry’s leading distribution networks. Patra noted that it was her preference to work through JHOUSE Entertainment and Sony Music because of the positive working relationship she has enjoyed with Browne and his team, and that she looks forward to a fruitful partnership.

“Through this partnership, not only am I in control of my career, I also have a set of people that can guide me in the right path. It’s as if I’m going back to where I used to be. It is personal, it’s more educational, spiritual and businesslike. Now, I’ve become the person that I’ve always wanted to be; to have my own record label in order to not only help others, but to be more hands on with how I express myself. This partnership has (also) given me a new look on life and has actually given me back faith in the music industry,” she said in a statement to World Music Views.

Patra’s first single under the partnership is slated for release this summer. In addition, fans will see Browne and Patra releasing a second track and its accompanying music video—also scheduled for premiere this summer—as the fifth single from the upcoming JHOUSE Vol. 1 album.

Browne noted that the partnership is especially meaningful for him.

“For me, when I started JHOUSE, Patra was the first artiste in Jamaica that I thought of that I wanted to work with. So, it’s super fitting. The icon, the artiste, the person; all of it—there’s nobody like her. She’s incredibly special and clearly the world is very much looking forward to the continuation of her music, her energy and her philanthropy,” he said.

The partnership further strengthens JHOUSE Entertainment’s growing roster and commitment to delivering original music, created by Browne, to audiences worldwide while creating new opportunities for both iconic and emerging talent.
