Peter Tosh’s Scenes Cut from ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ Biopic According To Actor

Reggae fans eagerly anticipating the portrayal of original Wailers member Peter Tosh in the upcoming “Bob Marley: One Love” biopic, set to hit theaters on February 14, may be disheartened to learn that all scenes featuring the iconic Jamaican artist have been axed from the final cut.

Actor Alexx A Game, who was slated to portray Tosh in the film, took to Instagram to address the situation in a heartfelt 3:01-minute video. In the caption accompanying the video, he expressed his regret to supporters, promising to compensate with more stellar performances in the future while urging fans to still catch the movie’s release.

“This is a very important video,” Alexx began, acknowledging the support he’s received since the announcement of his role in “Bob Marley: One Love.” “I regret to inform you that you won’t be seeing me on the big screen February 14, as the scenes that I have been a part of got removed from the final cut of the movie.”

Expressing disappointment akin to that of his fans, he continued, “Yes, very, very disappointing, I know, and that’s exactly how I feel when I heard the news as well.”

The actor explained that despite assurances from the director regarding the quality of his performance, unforeseen circumstances led to the exclusion of his scenes. “For various different reasons, those scenes did not make it to the final cut, of course not including my performance, as I was reassured by the director that my performances were excellent.”

Despite this setback, Alexx urged fans not to let it overshadow the significance of the film’s release. “Please do not allow this to detract from the fact that this is a huge moment in time, one that I want you all to go out and be a part of and witness it for yourselves.”

While the actor hinted at the possibility of seeing his scenes in an extended version in the future, he encouraged fans to support the film’s initial release. “Hopefully, we will get to see those very soon on your screens, probably an extended version, but who knows.”
