Pharrell Williams and Andrea Bocelli will co-direct a monumental cultural event at the Vatican this fall. The concert, titled “Grace for the World”, takes place on September 13, 2025, in St. Peter’s Square, marking the close of the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity and the celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year.
According to organizers, the show will combine music, reflection, and visual storytelling, highlighted by performances from Bocelli, Pharrell with the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir, John Legend, Teddy Swims, and a 250-person international choir. An aerial drone and light spectacle by Nova Sky Stories, inspired by the Sistine Chapel, will add to the visual experience.
The event is free to the public in Rome and will be streamed worldwide on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Live at 3 p.m. ET.
A CALL FOR BROTHERHOOD & PEACE
Pharrell described the night as:
“A rare cultural moment where the world stops and collectively tunes in. It is a message of unity and grace for all of humanity.”
Bocelli echoed that sentiment:
“Let us shine a spotlight on humanity with music from the very heart of Christianity and the most important spiritual square, reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace.”
Cardinal Mauro Gambetti of the Fratelli Tutti Foundation, which organized the meeting, explained the broader mission:
“On the evening of 13 September, fraternity will take center stage, expressed through the universal language of music and the stories of those who have made it a life’s choice… so that fraternity does not remain a mere idea, but becomes a choice that transforms reality.”
“HISTORY WILL BE MADE”
Olivier François, FIAT CEO and Chairman of St. Peter for Humanity, also confirmed on Instagram that this will be the first-ever public concert staged in St. Peter’s Square, noting that it had been in the works for over a year.
“On September 13, history will be made,” he wrote. “Grateful to our donors, partners, artists, and Cardinal Gambetti for making this possible. This is just the beginning.”
EXECUTIVE PRODUCTION TEAM
Pharrell and Bocelli will serve as executive producers of the concert, with music direction by Grammy-winner Adam Blackstone.
