David ‘Ireland Boss’ Ireland says he will be releasing a new project in 2024 following the success of ‘V6’ with Malie Donn, which topped the Spotify and YouTube Year-End Charts in Jamaica for 2023.
“Yes, we are dropping a project this year, as soon as all the songs come in,” he said.
‘V6’ has emerged as a sonic masterpiece in dancehall and is currently charting in 23 countries on Apple Music three days into 2024.
After peaking at No. 1 in Jamaica on Apple Music and dethroning Valiant from his six-month streak at the top nine months ago, ‘V6’ is moving across the Caribbean, securing top ten positions in the Cayman Islands and St. Lucia (#7), Anguilla and The Bahamas (#9), Turks and Caicos, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, and St. Lucia (10).
Elsewhere, the song charts at #12 in Guyana, #14 in Belize, #17 in Trinidad and Tobago, #20 in Bermuda, #26 in Grenada, #31 in Antigua and Barbuda, #35 in Dominica, #35 in Saint Kitts and Nevis, #41 in Jamaica, and #58 in St. Vincent and The Grenadines.
Over on YouTube, after reaching No. 1 in Jamaica on the year-end chart, ‘V6’ is putting up numbers in Belize, Guyana, The Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. The song has surpassed 36 million views across both official uploads.
As if the triumph on Apple Music and YouTube weren’t enough, ‘V6’ continues its winning streak on iTunes, securing the 5th position in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Ireland’s other hit ‘Still Dark’ with Chronic Law on the same Riddim as ‘V6’ is charting at #48 Antigua and Barbuda, #74 Cayman Islands and has debuted at #92 Jamaica.
