Rick Ross has joined Spotify’s billons streams club after his feature on Drake’s ‘Money In The Grave’ hit the milestone on October 16, 2024. This marks Drake’s 18th single to hit 1 billion streams.
“Money in the Grave” released 2019 reached #1, on the Billboard Rhythmic Songs Chart which was Drake’s 26th No. 1 on the chart.
The song also hot top 5 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Chart.
Drake reportedly paid $20,000 on the spot for the beat of “Money In The Grave,” according to producer Lil CC, making it her first-ever track placement.
Lil CC shared the experience during an appearance on “Shirley’s Temple,” recalling how monumental the moment was, especially as she was in London for a modeling gig at the time.
Drake had dropped the track after the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, along with another track, “Omerta,” as part of The Best In The World Pack single. Those were his first solo releases of 2019, following his February feature on Summer Walker’s “Girls Need Love” remix.
