Reggae artist Runkus has set social media buzzing after unleashing a fiery new diss track aimed at “bangers,” on DJ Mac’s Money Walk Riddim as anticipation builds ahead of the upcoming Grammy nominations announcement.
The track, which has already sparked widespread discussion among music fans and industry figures, opens with a clip of fellow artist Jamal declaring, “Nobody nah talk about Selassie,” before Ruckus enters singing the words, “I’ll be down by the river.”
Kabaka Pyramid was among those showing support, commenting, “Dunce time up,” accompanied by eight fire emojis. His comment attracted significant attention, collecting more than 80 likes in the screenshot shared.
Fellow artiste Naomi Cowan joined the exchange, responding to Kabaka Pyramid with, “Bredda 😂 dunce time,” adding to the conversation surrounding the song.
Dancehall artiste Chronic Law, posting under his verified account @chronixxmusic, also reacted enthusiastically, writing, “Bang!!!! Weh great white deh??? Bang!!!!!”
Runkus’ song comes days after Yaksta released a song “Who Fi Tap Eh” (also written as “Who Fi Tap E”) glorifying “banging the line,” a term used for scamming.
The song is a collaboration with DJ Mac and Crash Dummy on the same “Money Walk Riddim”. Yaksta shared a video preview of the track on his social media accounts at the end of October 2026, which quickly sparked intense debate online.
Tarrus Riley showed support with the comment, “AXUM GANG 🔥🔥🔥,” before referencing the lyrics, “Violate I n I and find a place inna Zion.” Ruckus responded directly with “BANG!”
Reggaeology also weighed in, suggesting that the track could be setting up a lyrical confrontation involving Yaksta.
“A set uno a setup @officialyaksta fi kill @runkusinno lyrically..??” the account commented, followed by laughing emojis and the words, “Watch eh ride..”
Ruckus responded with a wide-eyed emoji and a brief “y,” keeping the exchange playful while adding to the speculation.

Beyond the reactions from established artistes, fans also flooded the comment section with praise.
Verified producer and artiste Silent Addy wrote, “sheeesh ⚡,” later returning to the comments with several exclamation marks directed at Ruckus.
Seani B Remix dropped a fire emoji, while Jesse Royal added three fire emojis of his own.
Another listener, @universvlz, declared, “God seh Retaliation,” while @boomdrawoffizix described the record as “Fully balance.”
One particularly notable reaction came from @misszenya, who wrote, “The only person I want to hear making this music. #Substance 🔥.”
