On the YouTube weekly chart for Jamaica, ending on December 14, 2023, the “Dutty Money” Riddim produced by Rvssian takes the top two positions with RajahWild’s “Go Go,” Official Music Video debuting at No. 1with 861,861 local streams. “Go Go” is also the top song on Apple Music Jamaica, breaking Masicka’s two weeks top ten streak.
The top multi-platinum producer breathed new life into his 2009 ‘Go-Go Club’ Riddim for Najeeriii’s “Phat Phat,” released two weeks ago and the song debuts at number two amassing 451,183 streams in Jamaica.
The music video is directed by Ruption of RD Studios, showcases Rvssian and Najeeriii at the Express Fitness Gym in Constant Spring Jamaica doing workout routines. Adding to the visual appeal are women of diverse shapes and sizes, seamlessly blending workouts with dance. “Phat Phat” is at No. 10 on Apple Music Jamaica daily chart.
The revamped ‘Go-Go Club’ Riddim, now named the ‘Dutty Money Riddim,’ incorporates sharper electronic claps and and higher tempo even with a violin throughout the song.
Noteworthy tracks from the original ‘Go-Go Club’ Riddim include Merital’s “My Money (Ha Ha),” Vybz Kartel’s “Go-Go Club,” Blak Ryno’s “Bike Back,” Gaza Kim and Lisa Hyper’s “Bill,” and Tarrus Riley and Aidonia’s “Di Trees.”
In a 2014 interview with Largeup, Rvssian shared the spontaneous creation of the riddim, stating that it took him less than five minutes.
“I built that riddim in probably less than five minutes. Most of my riddims that are more successful have been created [quickly], off of feeling more than thinking. Music is an art so you must just feel it. I was on the phone with a girl at the time, messing around on the piano, and by the time the phone call hung up, I turned up the speaker, like This is the sh*t,” he recalled
Malie Donn breaks into the top five again after eh success of his No. 1 song ‘V6’ with “Muss Shot,” also on the Dutty Money Riddim securing the fifth position with 331,885 streams.
RajahWild’s “100 Mile” lands at No. 3 with 390,172 streams, a decrease of 6,484 views over the last week. Meanwhile, 450’s “Wild n Rich” slips to fourth place, accumulating 345,969 streams and witnessing a decline of 36,978 views.
Jquan makes a noteworthy climb, ascending nine positions to claim the sixth spot with “Chakka” and a substantial increase of 138,244 streams.
Masicka’s “Triumph” falls to seventh place, tallying 318,664 streams and experiencing a decrease of 155,630 views in Jamaica
