Sean Combs has been arrested.

The music mogul also known as Diddy, was arrested in Manhattan on Monday after a grand jury indictment, according to the New York Times source. The charges remain unclear. Combs’s legal team expressed disappointment, stating he had been cooperative and relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges.

The 54-year-old, who helped launch stars like Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige, has faced intense scrutiny since his former girlfriend, Cassie, filed a lawsuit in November 2023 accusing him of years of sexual and physical abuse. Though Combs settled that lawsuit in one day and denied any wrongdoing, several additional sexual assault lawsuits have since been filed, which his lawyers are currently fighting in court.

In March, federal agents raided Combs’s Los Angeles and Miami Beach homes as part of what a federal official described as a human trafficking investigation. The authorities have interviewed multiple witnesses regarding sexual misconduct allegations against Combs.

Combs has denied the accusations, calling them “sickening allegations” from people seeking money. After hotel surveillance footage showed him physically assaulting Cassie in 2016, Combs issued an apology, admitting his behavior was “inexcusable” and sought professional help.

Combs, who built a media empire with Bad Boy Entertainment, Revolt TV, and various business ventures, has faced accusations of violence for decades, including a 2001 nightclub shooting trial in which he was acquitted.

Recently, much of his business empire has unraveled. He sold his stakes in Revolt and DeLeón tequila, and his Los Angeles mansion, which was raided by federal agents, is now listed for $61.5 million. Federal prosecutors have remained quiet as they continue building their case against him.
