Sean Paul and Pitbull were being advertised as headliners of the “Can’t Stop Us Now” Tour. The two hitmakers were scheduled to perform 2 shows in Las Vegas at the Zappos Theater at PLANET HOLLYWOOD RESORT AND CASINO this weekend (September 16 and 17.)
However, Sean Paul’s appearance on the Pitbull tour has been cancelled according to Sean’s booking agent and management team.
Speaking with Sean Paul’s booking agent Jerome Hamilton of Headline Entertainment, he told World Music Views that Sean Paul will not be performing in Las Vegas this weekend and he has cancelled all the future dates with PitBull.
No reason was given by Hamilton for the cancellation but Pitbull’s website still has Sean listed for several dates up to October 13. Based on information from his team he should not be listed as a guest of the tour.
Sean Paul’s Manager Steve Urchin also told World Music Views exclusively on Thursday that, “There is a lot of mutual respect between Sean & Pitbull – our camps have always been supportive of one another and it’s unfortunate we couldn’t join Pit on this tour.”
Sean Paul announced his inclusion on the tour back in July via his social media saying, “me an my bredrin @pitbull a touch road soon!!!”
Pitbull announced his 50 dates “Can’t Stop Now” tour for North America, presented by Live Nation back in April. The Cuban-American artist will now be joined by Iggy Azalea and on select dates. This marks the second time Azalea joins Pitbull, following his I Feel Good tour. SiriusXM Globalization DJs are set to be Pitbull’s openers throughout the extensive trek.
The Dutty Cup artist, Sean Paul who just wrapped up he European tour promoting his album Scorcha has joined the millions of people around the world sending condolences to the British people on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II who died at age 96 on Thursday.
The Dynamite deejay posted on Twitter: “As a Jamaican, our biggest export is our culture – thanx 2 other countries 4 welcoming our culture. I always enjoy touring the UK & it has become a home away from home 4 me.”
He continued, “Death is hard, so to my UK family I’m sorry 4 your loss, May Queen Elizabeth II Rest In Peace.”
Persons have chided the Jamaican national on his comments, citing the atrocities committed by the British government under the supervision of Queen Elizabeth II and the British Monarchy.
