Dancehall artist Sean Paul and Nigerian Hitmaker Rema are nominated for Best Crossover Artist at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards. The announcement was made On Tuesday (March 19). The 2024 nominations are based on fan interactions across streaming, sales, radio airplay, touring and social media interaction data provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period (Feb. 11, 2023 to Feb. 24, 2024).
Other nominees in the category include Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, David Guetta. DJ Khaled, Drake, Marshmello and Usher.
Niña Bonita, Sean Paul’s joint effort with Colombian vocalist Feid, alsoearned a nomination in the ‘Collaboration Crossover of The Year’ category. Among the other nominated tracks are Dientes by J Balvin, Usher, and DJ Khaled; El Merengue by Marshmello and Manuel Turizo; Ojala by The Rudeboyz, Maluma, and Adam Levine; and Vocation by Ozuna and David Guetta.
Feid and Peso Pluma but picked up 12 nods each. Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera both got 11 nominations followed by YouTube’s top hitmakers Karol G and Shakira with 9 each. Eslabon Armado Fuerza Regida also got 8 nominations each.
This year’s award which is a celebration of Latin music is under the theme. “We Speak Música” on April 25 at 7: 00 pm at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be broadcasted on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavision and ViX.
