The compilation album, first released in May 1984, continues to demonstrate its timeless appeal among fans worldwide.
Shaggy rises back to No. 2 with Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection. At No. 3, Sean Paul makes a re-entry with his album The Trinity, the dancehall classic that has long defined his career and introduced hits like “We Be Burnin’” and “Temperature.”
Sean Paul also places has the No. 5 spot as Dutty Rock re-enters the chart. This Grammy-winning album, featuring iconic tracks like “Gimme the Light” and “Get Busy,” has now accumulated 239 weeks on the chart.
At No. 6, Greatest Hits by UB40 reappears on the chart, highlighting the British reggae band’s continued U.S. success, including classics such as “Red Red Wine” and “Kingston Town.” Meanwhile, Stick Figure contemporary brand of reggae continues to hold strong with three albums: World on Fire at No. 4 Set in Stone at No. 7 and Wisdom at No. 8.
Other highlights include Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s Welcome to Jamrock at No. 9, holding steady for 144 weeks, and the re-entry of Rastaman Vibration by Bob Marley & The Wailers at No. 10. This album, initially released in 1976, was Marley’s first to break into the Billboard Top 10, and its return reinforces his monumental legacy.
