Shaggy, Sean Paul and Beres Hammond To Headline UBS Arena In New York On Valentines Day

Grammy-winning artists Sean Paul and Shaggy are set to join lovers rock legend Beres Hammond as headliners for a special Valentine’s Day concert at UBS Arena in New York City.

The concert, promoted by Harmony House and Jamming Entertainment, is titled “Rockaway Valentines” and follows Buju Banton’s historic, sold-out shows at the 19,000-capacity UBS Arena on July 13 and 14, marking the final leg of his Long Walk To Freedom Tour. Buju’s performances made him the first reggae artist to headline and sell out the venue. A portion of the proceeds from this concert will support the AFUWI Scholarship Fund.

Shaggy and Beres Hammond previously teamed up on the Sly and Robbie-produced track “Fight This Feeling” (2013). Shaggy and Sean Paul have also collaborated several times, most notably on “Guh Down Deh” with Spice, which is certified Platinum in Canada and has sold over 600,000 units in the U.S., according to Luminate.

Sean Paul and Beres Hammond teamed up last year May for the song titled “Rebel Time,” released via Ineffable Records. The collaboration, first reported by World Music Views after an exclusive interview with music photographer William Richards, blends Sean Paul’s signature high-energy style with a lovers rock groove.

Sean Paul has a milestone 27 songs surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify– the most for any Jamaica act. He along with Shaggy are the highest-selling dancehall artists of all time, while Hammond, at 68, is regarded as one of Jamaica’s greatest vocalists. Known for timeless hits and iconic collaborations,

In 2021, Beres Hammond was the second most-played reggae artist on Spotify in Jamaica, just behind Chronixx.
