Shaggy, Sean Paul and Skip Marley May Join Rihanna For Super Bowl 2023 Half Time Show

World Music Views understands that reggae superstars Shaggy and Sean Paul along with Skip Marley are mentioned as possible guests to join Rihanna during her Super Bowl Half Time performance next week Sunday according to sources close to the matter.

A “reggae medley” according to sources would be part of the half time proceedings during one of American TV’s biggest nights.

The Super Bowl LVII will see its TV audience exceed 100 million viewers in the U.S. for the first time since 2018 according to Variety.

The top American sporting event returns to Fox on Feb. 12, riding the momentum of a season in which the league’s ratings strength was on full display.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII marks the first championship matchup since 2017’s LII to feature two No. 1 seeds, one led by NFL golden boy Patrick Mahomes.

The Apple sponsored halftime show marks the first time for a partnership with the tech giant as Rocnation megastar Rihanna also makes her first live appearance in five years. The singer is set to announce when her new album will be available on Apple Music.

The Barbadian billionaire beauty confirmed that she would be the headline act for Super Bowl 2023 half time show last September. Days after Taylor Swift reportedly turned down the offer until she is done re-recording her music from her first six albums.

Rih Rih posted a picture of her hand holding a football on her instagram.

Her way of confirming that the February 12, 2023 event will be headline by the Caribbean native.

Roc Nation later posted the same image-on their Instagram account, writing, “Let’s GO,” and tagging Rihanna and the NFL, while adding the hashtag “#SBLVII.”

Vogue Magazine also stated that the singer is set to bring out Eminem with home she has the RIAA 13x Platinum single “Love The Way You Lie.” Predictions are also high that she will bring out Jay Z and ABBA.

In an interview with Daily Star, Shaggy opened up about his admiration for Rihanna, but admitted that he turned down the opportunity to be on her R9 full reggae album which was announced 4 years ago because they wanted him to audition. Shaggy praised her for being able to continually reinvent herself and stay relevant in the music industry

Mr. Boombastic stated: “They approached me for the Rihanna project yeah-there’s a lot of great people involved but for me I didn’t need to audition to be on the record, I’ll leave that to younger guys.”
