Shake It The Max (Fly) by Moliy, Silent Addy, Skillibeng and Shenseea has departed the U.S Billboard Hot 100 Chart after 18 weeks.
The song released by gamma, made its debut the week of May 31, 2025 at No. 91 and went on to peak the week of July 5. Its final chart date was last week September 27 at No. 92.
Shake It The Max (Fly) is the first credited song featuring a Jamaican woman to his the chart in 9 year and it is the fourth longest charting song of the 21st Century featuring a Jamaica female act.
Originally released on December 3, 2024, the first remix, featuring Jamaican stars Shenseea and Skillibeng, arrived on February 21, 2025, and quickly went viral on TikTok thanks to a dance challenge, launching the track into worldwide charts. On March 14, French Caribbean rappers Kalash and Maureen joined the second remix, strengthening the song’s foothold in Europe. Just two months later, Major Lazer delivered a high-energy EDM version on May 16 that connected with festival and club audiences. The following week, on May 30, Trinidadian dancer and singer Gladdest released “Shake It to the Max (Done with Ya Ex),” a freestyle-turned-official remix that generated over 2.5 million TikTok videos and 4.5 million YouTube views. Stefflon Don and Vybz Kartel dropped unofficially released versions and then on July 11, dancehall legend Sean Paul added a verse. This rolling release strategy not only kept the song in constant conversation but also expanded its cultural footprint from Accra to Kingston, Paris to New York.
The Skillibeng and Shenseea remix video released March 15, directed by Fernando Hevia (and Savannah Baker), has surpassed 170 million views on YouTube. The Kalash and Maureen remix video, filmed in Paris by DYNAMIC LAB, combined cinematic shots with live performance footage at the Accor Arena and dropped April 23, 2025.
Commercially, “Shake It to the Max (Fly)” and its remixes have charted worldwide, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Global 200, No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs, and landing Top 10 positions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UAE. It also reached No. 1 on the UK Afrobeats, UK Hip Hop/R&B, and U.S. Rhythmic charts. The track has already earned certifications including Gold in the U.K. (400,000 units), Gold in France (100,000 units), and Gold in New Zealand (15,000 units).
