In less than 24 hours, Jamaican artists Shenseea, Masicka, and producer Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor‘s new collaboration “Hit & Run,” has peaked at No. 1 on the Reggae iTunes Video Chart. The single released under Rich Immigrants/Interscope Records is No. 2 on the Reggae iTunes singles chart.
While over on YouTube official music video shot on location in Miami is on pace to hit 1 million views with 24 hours. The song revolves around Shenseea explaining to her past lover, Masicka, her preference for a casual relationship over commitment. In response, Masicka wailingly accuses her of being heartless for their brief encounter.
“Yuh think yuh coulda get inna mi feelings? Yuh couldn’t get mi fi settle down, mi gi yuh a hit and run— mi gi yuh a hit and run,” Shenseea cheekily sings.
“Hit & Run” is also #23 in Seychelles on Apple Music and on iTunes its #7 in Saint Kitts and Nevis and #187 huge United States market
As Shenseea makes a prodigal return to her dancehall roots, fans from across the world have expressed appreciation for her decision after her label boss Rvssian criticized her for statements she made about the culture and said the music she was making over the past few years is not connecting to the audience.

Shenseea, on an Instagram Live session, teased fans about an abundance of dancehall tracks in store for the year, reassuring them that she’s recommitted to ‘spoiling’ them with diverse musical experiences.
This is the first time the Trick Or Treat singer is working with Misicka and she previously sang on the Stephen Di Genius produced track “Run Run” which was released ahead of her debut album “Alpha” but the track did not make the album.
