Jamaican sensation Shenseea has officially earned her second song to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify with “Honey Boy,” a disco-pop collaboration with Purple Disco Machine, Benjamin Ingrosso, and Nile Rodgers. Released on May 3, 2024, the track became a massive radio hit across Europe, peaking at No. 2 in Sweden and earning Platinum certification in that territory. With 100.3 million streams as of July 23, 2025, it now ranks as Shenseea’s second most streamed song on the platform.
Her most streamed track remains “Shake It To The Max (FLY) – Remix” with MOLIY, Silent Addy and Skillibeng with over 214 million streams, followed by fan favorites like “Shen Yeng Anthem” (80M), “Blessed” featuring Tyga (70M), and “Diana” (61M), according to updated Spotify data.
Shenseea’s momentum continues with her upcoming feature on Mariah Carey’s new single “Sugar Sweet,” which also includes Kehlani and is set for release Friday, July 25. The single, part of Carey’s upcoming album Here for It All which will be released via Gamma, runs 3 minutes and 40 seconds and was co-written by Carey herself along with HARV, Felisha Fury, Kehlani, Shenseea, Dizzy Clean, and Mikhail Miller.
The collaboration was first teased on Instagram with a candy-themed post and later confirmed by fan page @chartmariah, who shared the writing credits and a mock-up visual (not the official cover).
Meanwhile “Shake It To The Max (FLY) – Remix” which was also released via Gamma, moves down to No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 after peaking at 44 and spending total of 9 weeks on the chart. In Canada the song moves down to No. 34 this week ending July 26, after peaking at No. 24 and a total of 24 weeks on the chart.
In March WMV first reported that the Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea officially parted ways with Interscope Records, the label she signed with in 2019 via Rvssian’s Rich Immigrants. Shenseea made waves as the only female Jamaican artist in the last decade to release two albums on a major label.
The two-time Grammy nominee, has been shopping for a new record deal according to sources close to the matter.
Her debut album Alpha was the best-selling dancehall album of 2022 and outperformed projects by Popcaan, Masicka, and Sean Paul. Her 2024 follow-up, Never Gets Late Here, is the most streamed dancehall album since its release last year.
