Following criticisms by producer Rvssian that the music she is making is not being accepted by the audience, Interscope Records recording artist Shenseea says she has been holding in a lot and will be letting off steam sometime in the future. The “Loodi” singer went on Instagram Live and expressed heartfelt emotions for things that have been said about her recently, which she says is a lot of hate coming her way.
“I just want you to know that, I think that a lot of people have been seeing that I’ve been getting mad hate, you feel me? Just know that I am staying prayed up, you feel me. And I always try to choose the high road no matter what. You just can’t believe everything that you see on the net,” she said code-switching between accents.
Shenseea, 25, said in the end, she will win regardless of what happens. “I feel like at the end of everything, it doesn’t matter; good people always win in the end. That’s why sometimes you guys don’t see me respond to certain sh*t. I just feel like once I know, I try to always do good to people because I feel like what beat you put out, that’s what you’re gonna get back. I really try to deal with people the best way that I can and treat everybody with the same respect,” the dancehall princess said.
She, however, promises not to remain silent and will talk about all she has been going through in the industry. “I feel like in the future, though, I’m definitely gonna speak on a lot of stuff that I have been holding in for so long but when the time is right,” she said.
Rvssian publicly critiqued her music in an unprecedented way for a label CEO recently during an interview. He said although Shenseea is signed to her label, they are not on speaking terms have not spoken in two years.
Shenseea has also publicly criticized the label in the past for not releasing physical copies of her debut album “Alpha,” which was released in March 2022, while professing her love for Kanye West, with whom she shares her only RIAA Gold certification for the song “Pure Souls” featuring Roddy Rich.
As for the ongoing lyrical clash between Jada Kingdom and Stefflon Don, Shenseea shared her two cents during the live saying, “The clash entertaining.”
