Skeng Sets New Protocol, Breaks Record For Most Streamed Song In Jamaica

Protocol by Skeng and Tommy Lee has set a new record for most streamed song in Jamaica across all official YouTube platforms.

The song peaked at No. 1 on The World Music Views YouTube Charts and has so far spent 27 weeks on the YouTube weekly chart. In Jamaica alone the TrueEyez directed music video has racked up 11,251,088 streams on YouTube.

Cumulatively the music video has 26,288,000 views.

The previous YouTube streaming record was set by Koffee with Lockdown which is now the second most streamed song in the island with a total of 10,447,224 local streams.

Skeng’s Gvnman Shift is the third most streamed video in Jamaica with 10,394,956.

Since his Street Cred hit last July, Skeng has had repeated success in the dancehall industry with hits like Gvnman Shift, Heaven Passport with Intence and most recently a 5 week run at number 1 with Talibhan, featuring Stalk Ashley.

No lesser act than Nicki Minaj has has given Protocol a solid endorsement. Minaj posted comments about the the song which debut at No. 1 on the World Music Views Youtube Chart in the week of November 19, 2021,

Rounding off the top 5 most streamed songs in Jamaica are Chosen by Rytical at No. 4 with 9,374,748, 2021 year end No. 1 song Virgin by Jahvinci at number 5 with 8,737,075.
