Jamaican dancehall artist Skillibeng has officially earned his first RIAA Gold certification in the United States, awarded for his feature on “Jump” alongside South African singer Tyla and American rapper Gunna. As of July 29, 2025, the party starter has sold more than 500,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents across the U.S.

Released via Epic Records, Jump is Tyla’s fourth U.S. Gold-certified single, following the 3x-platinum success of her breakout hit Water and Gold single Truth Or Dare. Her single Push 2 Start also earned its Gold status on July 29.

Jump was recorded during Tyla’s creative residency at Geejam Studios in Portland, Jamaica, where she worked on six songs for her album. Her manager Colin Gayle told World Music Views that he wanted her to connect with Jamaica’s energy and collaborate with local talent. The collab with Skillibeng, was first announced by Gayle on WMV.

Meanwhile, Alkaline’s single Priority debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Reggae iTunes chart. Released on August 1 via ArmzHouse Records, the track reached the top spot within 24 hours, ahead of catalog songs including Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, Shaggy’s Angel, and UB40’s Red Red Wine.

He is scheduled to perform at Reggae Fest Massive on Saturday, August 30 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The event, presented by CJ Milan and Epic League Entertainment, will also include performances by Shenseea, Capleton, Elephant Man, Mr. Vegas, T.O.K., Tony Matterhorn, and Tanto Metro & Devonte. A guest headliner will be announced at the event.
