Skippa Rockets to No. 1 on YouTube Jamaica With “JR GONG”

JAMAICA — Dancehall newcomer Skippa has made a seismic impact on the YouTube Jamaica Weekly Chart, claiming the No. 1 spot for the week ending June 12, 2025, with the explosive debut of his track “JR GONG.” With 376,238 streams.

Skippa’s breakout comes with backup: two other tracks—“HBC” featuring Mani Sparta at No. 17 and “No Budget” at No. 18—also landed on the Top 20.

Up two spots and breaking into the Top 3 is ASCE AA SPADE with “Top Floor,” which gained over 53,000 views this week to notch a personal best. The song’s consistent rise underscores its viral momentum.

Long-running chart mainstay Armanii comes in at No. 4 with “8:00 PM” featuring Malie Donn—now in its 17th weekon the chart and still a fixture in the top tier.

Moliy’s remix hit “Shake It To The Max (FLY)” slips to No. 5, ending a dominant stretch that included five weeks at No. 1. While down in views, it remains a fan favorite.

Elsewhere, Malie Donn sees the biggest gain of the week with “Body Tea,” jumping 7 spots to No. 8 after a 63,733-stream surge. Meanwhile, Rani Rastaciti makes a solid debut at No. 12 with “Mad Dawg,” and Kraff Gad’s “IKATION” re-enters the chart at No. 19—an impressive feat 26 weeks into its release cycle.

On the flip side, A!MS’s former chart-topper “Light & Love” suffers the steepest drop of the week, falling from No. 1 to No. 9 with a loss of 205,699 views.
