The collaborative album Some Sexy Songs 4 U by PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake is now certified Silver in the U.K. just over a month after its release.

Every week, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced its latest round of BRIT Certified Awards, recognizing a slew of new Platinum, Gold, and Silver achievements across both singles and albums.
The album released February 14, has sold an equivalent of 60,000 units in the U.K. as April 18. The album peaked at No. 3 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart.
In the U.S. it peaked at No. 1 after selling 236,ooo units in its first week and is now eligible for gold certification in the U.S. by the RIAA for sale surpassing 500,000 units.
Sabrina Carpenter Hits 2x Platinum With ‘Short N’ Sweet’
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter leads this round of accolades with a 2x Platinum certification for her 2024 album Short N’ Sweet, released via Island Records. She also snagged a Silver certification for her 2025 single Busy Woman.
In the UK, music certifications are issued by the BPI based on sales figures compiled by the Official Charts Company. Once a release reaches the required threshold, it is automatically certified. Both album and single certifications now include streaming data, in line with the Official Charts Company’s chart eligibility rules. For singles, the certification levels are as follows: Silver at 200,000 units, Gold at 400,000 units, and Platinum at 600,000 units, with Multi-Platinum awarded in multiples of 600,000. For albums, Silver is awarded at 60,000 units, Gold at 100,000 units, and Platinum at 300,000 units, with Multi-Platinum certifications given in multiples of 300,000 units.
Dave & Central Cee’s ‘Sprinter’ Sprints to 3x Platinum
UK rap titans Dave and Central Cee continue their hot streak as their breakout 2023 single Sprinter earns a 3x Platinum certification. It is one of the most commercially successful UK rap records of the last two years.
Oasis Continues to Break Records
Oasis’ greatest hits compilation Time Flies – 1994-2009 has now reached a staggering 7x Platinum, reinforcing the enduring power of the Britpop era. The Manchester band’s track Hey Now also achieved Silver status in this update.
Classic Tracks Reignite
Several older classics continue to find new life through streaming. Starships by Nicki Minaj hit 4x Platinum, Highway to Hell by AC/DC earned 3x Platinum, and TLC’s Waterfalls landed 2x Platinum. Meanwhile, timeless tracks like If I Can Dream by Elvis Presley and My Generation by The Who have reached Platinum level certifications.
