Spice, Shaggy and Sean Paul’s Go Down Deh Made Barack Obama’s 2021 Favorite Music Playlist

Spice has one more reason to celebrate this holiday season after former President of the United States Barack Obama revealed his 2021 list of favorite music.

The favorites list include a selection of 27 songs; artists on the list include Italian Dominican singer Yendry, Nas and Lauryn Hill and Jamaica’s own Spice, Shaggy and Sean Paul with their single Go Dung Deh.

The track produced by Romanian producer Costi Ionita is the lead single on Spice’s Grammy nominated debut album 10 released earlier this year.

In August, Grammy award winner Koffee made Obama’s summer list for the second consecutive year. Per dancehall magazine. A collaboration with John Legend “Don’t Walk Away” made the list and last year her mega-hit “Toast” featured prominently on his and several celebrity’s playlist.

Popcaan, also got a placement on Barack’s summer list with TWIST & TURN.

Spotify has created a playlist reflective of Obama’s favorites according to Julia Lavender, Spotify’s Communications Manager responsible for Jamaica.
