Spice’s breakout song “So Me Like It,” is now certified Gold in Canada.
According to Music Canada, the single was issued with a Gold certification for sales and streams surpassing 40,000 units on July 29, 2024.
This is Spice first solo certification and her second career Gold certification in Canada, following “Go Down Deh” featuring Shaggy and Sean Paul which was certified both Gold and Platinum on February 6.
Produced by Notnice, the song was featured on Spice’s 2014 EP of the same name which peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart for one week ending December 20, 2014.
The music video for the song which was directed by Spice has surpassed 120 million views on YouTube.
The Queen Of The Dancehall performed at Popcaan’s Unruly Fest in the UK on Sunday (July 28) ahead of her Mirror 25 album launch, meet and greet in London on Tuesday. She posted on Instagram, “LONDON UK 🇬🇧 Come see me this Tuesday Admission is FREE . Album launch and Meet and greet dress code: smart casual, no shorts or tracksuits.”
According to Luminate, Spice’s debut album “10,” released in August 6, 2021, executive produced by Shaggy, has sold 125,000 equivalent units in the US. The album received a nomination for Best Reggae Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
