Spice ‘Got Everyone Talking’ About ‘Emancipated’, Album Charting in 20 Countries

Spice has declared her freedom with her new album Emancipated and it seems to be paying off. The project independently released by Spice in collaboration with the Steve Stoute owned United Masters​,​ debuts at ​N​o. 2 in Jamaica on Apple Music, as well as placements in 19 other countries after a day of its release.
On iTunes ​t​he album is at No. 22 in all genres the United States, No. 50 in Canada, No. 80 in the Bahamas and No. 94 in the U.K. The album is also the No. Reggae iTunes album in the U.S.
Spice released the uncut promo for the second single from the album on Friday “Tape Measure” which feature​s​ a nude ​black ​​ ​man and a white​male ​ model.
The objectifying teaser which shows spice using a tape measure to calculate the length of his penis elicited several memes including from Miami based body surgeon who tweeted “When Spice drops a new video and your office phone starts ringing non-stop.”

Tech blogger Ingrin Riley tweeted, “Spice’s objectification of men is a joy to see. Yeah, you read that right. Have a fantastic and tape-measured weekend y’all.”

U.K. rapper Ms. Banks tweeted emojis in response to the video.

Another person tweeted, “Spice got everyone talking. Win”
The official video on YouTube however when released was the edited version which is currently trending at No. 5 in Jamaica.

Earlier this week the recently crowned Queen of dancehall was featured on top streaming British-Jamaican artists Stefflon Don’s Clockwork which climbed to No. 1 on the U.K. iTunes chart.
