Independent dancehall artist Spice 2014 hit So Mi Like It earns a Silver certification in the United Kingdom on August 30, 2024.
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded the track the prestigious Brit Certified Silver Award on Friday, marking over 200,000 units sold in the UK.
It is her first career U.K. award for the track released 10 years ago.
This recognition comes just a day after the “Guh Down Deh” artist won the Artist Of The Decade at the second staging of the Caribbean Music Awards at the King’s Theatre in Brooklyn New York.
The Love & Hip Hop cast member took to Instagram to expressed her amazement and gratitude after being awarded “Artist of the Decade,” acknowledging how significant the honor is in a genre filled with so much talent. “I really don’t know where to start but to be awarded “Artist of the Decade” in a Genre where there’s so much talent is definitely not a small thing it’s a Very big thing, it’s mind blowing. Little Gracie have come a far way. Thank you Jesus for showing out for me once again. @caribmusicawardsThank you,” she stated.
She took note of the magnitude of this achievement, calling it “mind-blowing.” Reflecting on her journey, she referred to herself as “Little Gracie” and marveled at how far she’s come, attributing her success to divine intervention by saying, “Thank you, Jesus, for showing out for me once again.”
Spice also expressed appreciation to the Caribbean Music Awards for the recognition, stating how humbled and grateful she feels for the honor. Recently, Spice took a moment to reflect on her career and realized that she had been awarded Female DJ of the Year for ten consecutive years from various outlets. This realization filled her with awe as she thought about the incredible journey she’s been on.

So Mi Like produced and released by Notnice was certified Gold in Canada last month for surpassing 40,000 units in streams and sales.
Spice’s latest album “Mirror 25” released August 9, earned a 3 star review by WMV. The album distributed by Empire debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart for one week after selling approximately 1500 units in streams and sales.
