Stefflon Don Laughs At ‘Dutty Wine’ Wig Slip During Australian Promiseland 2023 Performance

Stefflon Don made her debut performance in Australia at Promiseland last weekend and she has been the talk of social media after she almost lost her wig doing the “Dutty Wine” dance on stage. The Secure artist dressed on a sparkly crystal laced bodysuit, represented for both Jamaican and the U.K. with both flags waving during her performance. As for the “Dutty wine” moment, she quickly recovered her falling hair and went seamlessly into her performance, but the moment was caught on camera by fans who all had their phones out.

Still the 16 Shots singer’s vivacious attitude on stage left fans wanting more as her set was cut short by organizers.

In her usual jovial attitude, The Don dropped a reel of her performance making light of the mishaps with the caption, “Ok ok the wig came half off I was like I hope nobody ain’t seen that shit 👀….then Boom we on every single blog… why ? cuz the internet sees EVERYTHING. I’ve been laughing ever since 😂🫣😮‍💨🏃🏽‍♀️.”

The video ended with organizers of the festival apologizing to her for cutting her set short after she travelled 21 hours to perform on the continent Down Under.

Last year Promiseland brought together a stellar lineup spanning R&B, reggae, Afrobeats, and amapiano genres to Australia’s Gold Coast for the first time.

Building upon the success of its inaugural edition, the festival upped the ante for 2023 with stars including with Ms. Lauryn Hill who had not been on the continent in four years as she commemorated the 25th anniversary of her Magnum Opus album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.

Also on the lineup of the two day event held September 30 and October 1 were Koffee, Fireboy DML, Tems, Uncle Waffles, Arya Starr, ONEFOUR, UK sensation Kojey Radical, and New Zealand talents L.A.B and Stan Walker.
