Multi-Platinum U.K. star Stefflon Don turned heads at the Beyoncé concert film premiere for her groundbreaking Renaissance tour in London on Thursday, November 30.
The Don dressed in a floor touching silver dress with laid black hair on the black carpet.
Will.i.am, Blake Lively, AJ Odudu, Michelle Williams, Sia, and Emma Thynn, were all present donning silver attire in line with the tour’s Afrofuturist disco fantasia theme. The premiere, complete with champagne, salted popcorn, and Smarties for guests, required attendees to secure their phones before entering the screening room.
The event, attended by other high-profile guests including Taylor Swift, showcased the film titled “Renaissance, A Film by Beyoncé” which the singer produced, wrote, and directed herself.
Capturing the monumental effort behind the tour, intertwining on-stage performances with behind-the-scenes and intimate moments with her family.
With an estimated 2.7 million attendees over five months, the Renaissance tour has grossed nearly half a billion dollars globally, according to Billboard. The film delves into Beyoncé’s dedication, hard work, creative involvement, and her determination to leave a lasting legacy while mastering her craft.
Before the delayed screening, Beyoncé expressed gratitude to the audience, thanking them for attending and highlighting the film’s release on World AIDS Day, a date of personal significance to her due to the loss of her late uncle Johnny to AIDS. Encouraging the audience to freely express themselves, Beyoncé concluded, saying, “Feel free to dance, sing, cry… thank you.”
The film also explores the role of Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, who, despite facing criticism for her early dancing performances on tour, used the feedback as motivation to improve. Blue Ivy joined her mother on the “red” carpet at the London premiere, showcasing a matching black floor-length gown alongside Beyoncé.
As the film hits theaters on December 1, it promises a captivating portrayal of Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, its impact, and the personal journey intertwined with it.
