Stefflon Don’s “Island 54” debuted at No. 44 on the UK Official Albums Sales Chart for the week ending July 11, 2024. The album released on June 28, 2024 via BMG is her second project to make the chart following her 2018 mixtape “Secure” which peaked at No. 63.
“Island 54” also peaked at No. 40 on the Physical Albums Chart, her highest position on that chart. On the Official Record Store Chart “Island 54” peaked at No. 6. On the UK’s Hip Hop and R&B chart it enters at No. 3.
On the Official Independent Albums chart it lands at No. 7.
The reggae-dancehall-afro-hip hop infused debut album sold just under 1000 units combined in the UK but has amassed 10 million streams globally on Spotify since its release on June 28, 2028.
The album did not make the mainstream Official UK Albums chart. The last reggae-dancehall album by a woman to hit the mainstream UK’s Official Albums chart was Koffee’s Gifted which peaked at No. 9 two years ago.
The lead singles “Whats Poppin” featuring BNXN (7.9 million streams), “Intergalactic” (1.2 million streams), and “Dilemma” featuring Sidhu Moose Walla (2.4 million streams) account for the majority of the album’s global first-week streams, with other tracks each receiving less than 100,000 streams as of July 4, 2024.
The UK’s Top 100 chart, compiled by the Official Charts Company, which considers CD sales, downloads, vinyl, audio streams, and video streams.
On YouTube, “Dilemma” featuring Sidhu Moose Walla ranked as the 9th most-viewed music video in Canada last week, with nearly 500,000 views in the country. Globally, “Dilemma” has garnered 8 million views, with 4 million coming from India since its release last Monday (June 24).
The 19-track album, which received a 4-star rating from WMV, and charted at No. 6 on Spotify’s UK Top Albums chart.
Stefflon Don’s other mixtapes, “Real Ting” (2016) features her breakout single “16 Shots,” has surpassed 259 million streams.
In total Stefflon Don has had 10 singles on the UK Singles Chart throughout her career. Her biggest hit, “Hurting Me” featuring French Montana, peaked at No. 7 and remained on the chart for 27 weeks.
