Stick Figure, an all white reggae band based in California is the highest-ranked living reggae act on the 2024 Billboard Year-End Reggae Albums Artist Chart for the sixth consecutive year. The rankings, which were released on Friday (December 13), cover the period from October 28, 2023, to October 19, 2024. They reflect aggregated data on streaming equivalent album units, airplay, and sales in the United States, as measured by Luminate (formerly MRC Data).
Formed in 2005 in Duxbury, Massachusetts, by Scott Woodruff, Stick Figure trails only Bob Marley & The Wailers on the 2024 Year-End Reggae Albums Artists Chart. The band outranks Grammy Award-winning Jamaican stars like Sean Paul (No. 3), Shaggy (No. 4), and UB40 (No. 5) and Damian Marley (No. 6).
The group placed three albums in the top 10 of the 2024 Billboard Reggae Albums Year-End Chart: World on Fire at No. 4, Set in Stone at No. 5, and Wisdom at No. 6. Competing with heavyweights like Shaggy and Sean Paul’s compilation albums Best Of Shaggy: Boombastic Collection (No 2) and Dutty Classics Collection (No. 3). Sean’s Dutty Rock lands and No. 8 and even reggae classics, such as Damian Marley’s Welcome to Jamrock, ranks at No. 9, three spots below Stick Figure’s lowest-ranking album.
Ruffwood and Ineffable, the band’s label and distributor, also made impressive appearances on the charts. Ruffwood ranked No. 3 on the Billboard Year-End Reggae Albums Imprints Chart, while Ineffable came in at No. 4. Ruffwood now sits just behind Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong and Island Records, with Atlantic and VP Records following behind.

Stick Figure is the only unsigned band to appear on the Year-End Reggae charts, with Independents ranking No. 2 on the Billboard Year-End Albums Distributors Chart.
Gross added that superfans play a crucial role in the band’s success. “This consistency has turned casual listeners into superfans who help amplify the music’s reach,” he stated. “The results speak for themselves: Several 2024 summer tour markets sold over 15,000 tickets, and on Spotify, his audience grew by 88% year-over-year. Over 136,000 fans had Stick Figure as their #1 artist on Spotify Wrapped. These superfans drive his incredible album, merch, and ticket sales, contributing to his sustained success.”
Smoking Love (From Set In Stone) is Stick Figure’s only song to have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, but their albums consistently remain in the top ten on the sales driven U.S. iTunes Reggae Chart and are a regular fixture on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.
