The South Korean band’s mini-album ‘ATE’ is aiming for #1 debut on the Billboard 200 with 215K units first week according to Hits Daily Double. It will mark their fifth #1 album
ATE, was released on July 19 via JYP Entertainment and Republic Records featuring group members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.
It comes two months after their collaboration with Charlie Puth on the single “Lose My Breath,” which marked their third release of 2024.
In a recent Apple Music’s All About Stray Kids Radio episode, Bang Chan and Felix discussed the new mini-album. Felix highlighted that ATE introduces a concept “we haven’t done before,” while Bang Chan emphasized the fresh sound of the title track and the varied nature of the other songs. “It’s showing a different side of Stray Kids,” he noted, praising the group’s performance on the album.
Stray Kids’ previous Billboard 200 chart-topping releases— include 2022’s Maxident and Stray Kids Mini Album: Oddinary (EP), and 2023’s Rock-Star and 5-Star—all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making them the first act to achieve this feat with their first four charting albums since Alicia Keys (2001-2007).
ATE is charting on Apple Music in 43 countries and on iTunes in 20 countries. On Apple Music, the album reached #1 in Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, with additional top 10 positions in several other countries including Malaysia, Russia, and South Korea. It also achieved significant placements across multiple English speaking regions, including #14 in Australia and #39 in the United States. On iTunes, the album topped the charts in Laos, Russia, and Taiwan, and secured top 10 positions in countries like Japan, Switzerland, and the United States.
