Teejay’s debut EP, “I Am Chippy,” has sold 15,000 album equivalent units in the U.S. over its lifetime, according to data provided to WMV by Billboard Sales Tracker Luminate.
So far, 200 copies have been recorded, along with 22.6 million official on-demand streams.
First-week sales for the project since its February 2 release, which Billboard uses for its Reggae Albums Chart, are 1,000 equivalent units. This includes 200 pure copies and 1.1 million on-demand streams.
The EP’s lead single, “Drift,” which has a remix by Davido, has sales equivalent units of 145,000 over its lifetime. This includes 5,000 in pure sales and 22 million on-demand streams.
The EP’s lifetime sales mark the highest for a dancehall project released in 2024.
The second single from the EP, “Dip,” featuring Tommy Lee Sparta, has earned 2,000 sales equivalents in the U.S., including 100 copies in physicals and downloads, along with 291,000 on-demand streams.
