Tems Credited As A Writer On Beyonce’s Renaissance

The album credits for  Beyoncé’s forthcoming album Renaissance has been released and among the names credited is Nigerian Billboard chart topper Tems. Tems real name Temilade Openiyi will appear on the song Move which is track ten on the album.

Tems became the first African singer to reach number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 with her feature on Future‘s ‘Wait For You’.

At the 2022 BET Awards, Afrobeats Golden Girl was nominated for the Best New Act and Best International Act. By the end of the night she became the first African female artist to win a BET award when she took home the award for Best International Act.

The Nigerian star first achieved international fame for her features on Wizkid‘s ‘Essence’ for which she also won the award for Best Collaboration at the 2022 BET Awards.

Beyoncé  dropped the track list for Renaissance ahead of the scheduled July 29 release date. The album leads with the dance anthem “Break My Soul” along with a some other out of this world titles like  “Alien Superstar,” “Thique” and the more cultural themes like “America Has A Problem.”

Last month, Bey revealed the cover art for the album, which features the icon nearly baring it all sitting on a silver horse. “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,” she said on Instagram.

Other recognizable singers, DJs, producers and engineers working on the album are Skrillex, Labrinth, Lucky Daye, Tems, SYD, Nija Charles, Honey Dijon, Moi Renee, 070 Shake, The-Dream, MIKE DEAN, Raphael Saadiq, No I.D., DIXSON, GuiltyBeatz, Hit-Boy, and Drake.

Beyonce’s husband Sean Carter is credited on track 14, America We Got A Problem.
