The Government Intends To Rest Diddy’s Federal Sex Trafficking Case By Next Week Wednesday Or Friday

Day 21 of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial took a dramatic and emotional turn as the cross-examination of his accuser—referred to as “Jane”—continued. Defense attorneys sought to challenge her credibility and depict her as emotionally entangled, sexually involved with multiple men, and driven by jealousy.

Defense lawyer Terry Geragos opened with sexually charged messages Jane exchanged with another man following a hotel night. He read aloud a message where the man said, “You were talking so dirty to me, I love it,” and Jane replied, “I’m being friendly here.” In another message, she complained, “It’s my birthday weekend and you don’t show me no love,” while requesting a personal video.

Jane confirmed she had been involved with another entertainer around the same time and admitted feeling hurt after seeing Gina Huynh, another woman linked to Diddy, flaunting a Cartier “Love” bracelet on Instagram—believed to be a gift from the music mogul.

Geragos also revealed a message Jane sent a friend expressing her desire to make things with Diddy “cute and romantic” following a handwritten note he gave her.

Before the jury entered, the courtroom grew tense when Diddy’s defense team accused prosecutors of trying to strike a Black juror. “This is a thinly veiled attempt,” argued attorney Alexandra Shapiro. The judge said he would rule on the matter before the weekend.

As testimony resumed, Geragos dissected Jane’s text exchanges with Combs, reading: “I appreciate everything you did for my birthday. I want to give you everything you want on Valentine’s Day.” When pressed on the meaning, Jane replied, “The necklace and your lovemaking. Only with regard to him.”

She admitted to sending Combs photos of herself with another man in a hotel room and later confronting him about being seen with Yung Miami (Caresha) in Turks and Caicos. “It was very hurtful, after enduring what I endured,” Jane told the jury.

In one of the day’s most disturbing moments, Jane admitted she invited another man, Cabral, to meet her in Turks at Combs’ instruction. “Under the pressure of my lover,” she said. Asked whether she provided a condom for the encounter, she said, “At the very last minute. Thank God.”

More texts were read aloud in court, including one where Combs apologized: “Sorry I called you a b*tch, I deserve this. Love.” He then invited her to Turks, and she responded with heart emojis and wrote, “What we have is special.” When asked whether Diddy spent $55,000 on the trip, she answered, “I don’t know.”

Another bombshell came when Geragos asked if Jane watched pornography with Combs at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. “Yes,” she said. She also admitted she agreed to bring another man into the situation at Combs’ request: “Given the situation, I said yes.”

Jane broke down in tears while recalling a note she sent Diddy: “You make my child so happy, I love you.” Geragos questioned whether she used romantic emojis, quoting her as saying: “I love living in the moment w u, it was our little partay, rosay.” She confirmed the message.

The court also reviewed text messages about hotel arrangements and Combs questioning whether there were hidden cameras in their Airbnb. Jane responded, “They could be covered by security… we want to cover them to feel comfortable.”

Geragos then pushed Jane on past comments she made, including expressing guilt to another man—Paul—about “letting Sean go too far.” She acknowledged the statement. Geragos also played an audio recording of a conversation between Jane and Combs in an Equinox parking lot, where Combs said, “We were both tripping,” and Jane replied, “We need to pick each other up.”

The defense questioned whether Combs wrote Cassie love letters during his relationship with Jane. “I’m not sure. Oh, I remember,” she said after hesitating.

The day ended with legal wrangling outside the jury’s presence. Prosecutors argued that the defense opened the door to Jane’s prior consistent statements, including notes made before she received immunity in November 2024 for her grand jury testimony. Defense lawyer Jason Driscoll objected: “They are not prior consistent statements.”

Judge discussions wrapped with scheduling updates: prosecutors plan to rest their case by next Wednesday or Friday. Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo said they remain on schedule but are awaiting decisions on which witnesses will be cut.
