Vybz Kartel’s Viking (Vybz Is King) 10th Anniversary Edition has debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart dated February 15, 2025, marking his 11th entry on the chart.
The deluxe reissue, released via Adidjahiem Records/TJ Records on January 31, sold fewer than 2,000 units in its first week in the U.S.
The 11-track album which includes seven new songs, with standout tracks like “Porn Flick” featuring Ishawna, topped the U.S. Reggae iTunes chart on release day.
The project’s top single, “Amout,” also made waves, debuting at No. 1 on the YouTube Jamaica Chart.
Originally released in March 2015 while Kartel was incarcerated, Viking peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, fueled by hits like “Unstoppable” and “Gon Get Better,” which was later sampled by Fifth Harmony. It remains his second highest-charting album to date.
The original Viking album has surpassing 32 million streams on Spotify since its 2015 release, Kartel’s 11th highest streaming project on the platform.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart this week, Legend The Best Of Bob Marley and The Wailer remains at No. 1 for 266 non-consecutive weeks.
Best Of Shaggy Boombastic Collection at No. 2. Sean Paul Trinity and Dutty Rock re-enter the chart at No. 3 and No. 6 respectively.
UB40’s Greatest Hits at remain at No. 5, while Stick Figure’s World on Fire, Wisdom and Set in Stone are at No. 4, 7 and 8 respectively.
