Khaled’s dancehall music video for The Streets Know My Name is set in the inner cities of Kingston, Jamaica. The We The Best producer visited Jamaica earlier this year as he does every time he has an album on the way. He directed the 5 minutes, 15 seconds video with editing done by his videographer Ivan Berrios.
With scenes from August Town where Sizzla resides and other parts of Jamaica’s capital city he employed some of Jamaica’s seasoned videographers like Gareth Cobran (DP), Calvin Ellington(Assistant Camera) and Daniel Clarke(Production Assistant) for assistance in capturing the right images of Jamaica’s gritty neighborhoods.
Khaled also shot the artwork for “God Did” on location while he was on island during his last ostentatious high energy visit. Jamaica has rewarded him with the No. 1 album in the country, as God Did outpaces Queen Of The Dancehall Spice who lands at No. 2 with Emancipated on the second day of release.
