The Love & Harmony Cruise has stepped up in a moment of dire need, delivering urgent relief to Jamaican communities hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. In a coordinated effort carried out this week, the team visited Sandy Ground (St. Elizabeth), Bluefields (Westmoreland), Salt Spring (Montego Bay) and Barnett Lane (Montego Bay)—areas where families suffered heavy losses, widespread damage, and displacement.
The operation was conducted with the support of the Jamaica Constabulary Force and Dr. Terrence Bent, Senior Superintendent of Police, ensuring safe, secure and efficient distribution as hundreds of residents received aid.
“This island is not just a destination, it’s home” – Love & Harmony Cruise’s Commitment
In a message of solidarity, the Love & Harmony team curated comprehensive care packages containing building supplies, flashlights, food, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, tarpaulin, water, batteries, toys, clothing, shoes, and more—essentials meant to help families begin rebuilding their daily lives. The effort marks Phase One of a larger, ongoing recovery initiative that will continue in the weeks and months ahead.
“For seven years, Love & Harmony Cruise has proudly sailed with Jamaica at the center of our identity,” said Ronnie Tomlinson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
“With nearly 85% of our cruisers either born in Jamaica or born to Jamaican parents, this island is not just a destination, it’s home. When Jamaica is in need, it is our responsibility and honor to stand with her. This relief effort is only the beginning.”
Looking Ahead: The 2026 Cruise and New Give-Back Initiative
As the team continues its on-the-ground humanitarian work, preparations are also underway for the 2026 Love & Harmony Cruise, set for April 1–6, 2026. The voyage departs from Miami, Florida and sails to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Freeport, Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Jewel—a luxury vessel renowned for upscale accommodations, award-winning service, world-class entertainment, themed nightlife, spas, pools, casinos, and a diverse selection of dining options.
Next year’s lineup will feature Caribbean music icons including Beres Hammond, Romain Virgo, Minister Marion Hall, Agent Sasco, Maxi Priest, Tanya Stephens, Pinchers, Carlene Davis, and more.
Tomlinson added that the team is preparing to deepen its connection with Jamaica during the 2026 voyage:
“As we prepare to sail on the Norwegian Jewel, we will also be launching a special give-back initiative that allows our cruisers to support and participate in the ongoing recovery efforts for Hurricane Melissa. Out of many, one people, we are united in Love and Harmony.”
