Jamaica’s music scene continues to be a vibrant with the first quarter of 2025 seeing an Trap Dancehall dominating the list, with multiple artists (Jamal, Cash Code, Skippa, Ai Milly) contributing heavily to the genre on the YouTube Jamaica charts. Based on data from from YouTube December 30, 2024, to March 29, 2025, Traditional Dancehall is still present but less dominant than Trap Dancehall. Afrobeats, Gospel, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop have notable entries, but none cracked the top 3.

Jamal makes appearing three times in the top 20 rankings, while producer Cash Code appears multiple times as a collaborator on his Trap Dancehall hits.

Here are the top songs that captured the attention of Jamaican audiences.

Jamal & Cash Code Lead the Pack

The number one song for the quarter is “Ballandor” by Jamal & Cash Code, which amassed an impressive 3.38 million views. The collaboration between rising star Jamal and the ever-present Cash Code has clearly resonated with fans.

Not far behind is Shake It To The Max (FLY) by Moliy & Silent Addy, earning 3.22 million views. This high-energy track got a remix with Shenseea and SKillibeng, making it a first quarter favorite going into the Easter party season.

Gospel and International Hits Make an Impact

A surprising but welcome entry in the top ten is gospel legend CeCe Winans, whose song “Come Jesus Come” landed in eighth place with 1.94 million views. The strong presence of gospel in the rankings speaks to the spiritual connection many Jamaicans maintain with music.

International stars also made their mark. Chris Brown’s “Residuals” claimed the tenth spot with 1.66 million views, while Rod Wave’s “25” secured twelfth place with 1.46 million views.
