HOUSTON — Chaos erupted at the Travis Scott concert in Houston on Friday, first responders and good samaritans tried to help the unconscious victims.
At least eight persons are confirmed dead and dozens injured according to Houston Fire Department Chief Same Pena.
He said “There are 8 confirmed fatalities tonight and scores injured…at approximately 9 o’clock/9:15 the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage and that cause some panic and cause some injuries, people began to fall out, become unconscious and it create additional panic.”
This mad stage rush caused Scott to pause the show several times to ask security to help out fans, and as members of the fire department went into the dense crowd to rescue the injured.
At 9:38 p.m. the “mass-casualty incident” was triggered, at which time CPR began to get administered to several unconscious fans.
Images from the scene began coming in on social media highlighting the disturbing scene as concertgoers tried to understand the events.

Some even blaming Travis for not stopping the concert.
“It happened all at once,” Executive Assistant Chief Larry Satterwhite said. “It seemed like it happened over the course of just a few minutes.”
“A lot of times, kids don’t make the best decisions,” he continued. “Because they’re young and amped up…. I just think it was so many people — and passion — to see this entertainer. I don’t know, and a lot of bad decisions” per Variety
